Saya ingin membicarakan sedikit sebanyak tentang kesan hypermarket asing di bumi bertuah ini. Akhir-akhir ini kita melihat lambakan hypermarket seperti Carrefour, Tesco dan Giant di setiap pelusuk negara, samada bandar besar mahupun kecil. Sekarang pun sudah ada cambahan mini hypermarket di kawasan taman-taman perumahan seperti Carrefour Express dan MaxValu (Aeon) yang bakal memberi persaingan yang lebih sengit kepada kedai-kedai runcit yang diusahakan anak-anak tempatan. Kehadiran mini hypermarket ini seolah-olah malaikat maut yang bakal mencabut nyawa pengusaha kedai-kedai ini yang diibaratkan kais pagi makan pagi, kais petang makan petang. Anda tunggu dan lihatlah pengusaha-pengusaha kedai ini gulung tikar satu persatu kerana tidak dapat menyaingi mini hypermarket ini.
Sabagai pengguna, apakah kita akan berdiam diri tanpa berbuat apa-apa? Apakah kita akan terus dayus ditipu oleh hypermarmet asing ini yang kononnya mengatakan harga barangan mereka rendah dan kualiti tinggi? Saya pernah membeli spaghetti Tesco dan kualitnya amat mengecewakan! Saya hampir termuntah bila memakannya kerana ia telah lunyai dan baunya agak hanyir! Jelas sekali barang mereka ada yang tak berkualiti tetapi pada masa yang sama mengapa mereka mengatakan barang usahawan tempatan tidak berkualiti? Atau kononnya bungkusannya (packaging) tidak elok? Mengapa hanya 6% sahaja barangan usahawan IKS di dalam hypermarket sedangkan KPDN MEWAJIBKAN sekurang-kurangnya 30% barangan IKS tempatan di dalam hypermarket asing? Di manakah pemantauan oleh pihak berkuasa?
Jawapannya senang sahaja..kita sebagai anak Malaysia perlu mengambil tindakan! Bertukarlah ke jenama tempatan dan jimatkan perbelanjaan anda! Sokonglah barangan tempatan yang kualitinya jauh lebih baik dan harganya murah sekali, tidak seperti yang kebanyakan orang sangka! Sebagai contoh, dengan sabun serbaguna keluaran kami, BioSinar, anda mampu menjimatkan sekurang-kurangnya RM500 setahun jika anda mencuci pakaian sekali sehari. Sekiranya anda menggunakan BioSinar untuk mencuci kereta, penjimatannya bertambah sebanyak RM240 lagi kalau anda membayar RM24 sebulan bila mencuci kereta dua kali sebulan. Kalau anda menggunakan pelembut (Softlan) anda pertambahan penjimatan anda adalah RM100 setahun. Itu tak termasuk nila, Clorox, kanji dan macam-macam lagi yang hypermarket ini mahu anda beli. Mereka malahan mahu anda berbelanja RM50 SEBULAN UNTUK MENCUCI PAKAIAN!! DENGAN BIOSINAR, ANDA BAYAR HANYARM10, IAITU PENJIMATAN SEBANYAK80%!! INILAH PENJIMATAN SEBENAR!!!!! INI BUKAN CAKAP KOSONG!!

Today we have officially appointed 25 stockists throughout Malaysia to distribute BioSinar. We have been advertising in Sinar Harian and received plenty of calls. Our stockists have been receiving plenty of calls too and we expect them to increase in the next few weeks. We will make sure BioSinar is avaiable in every part of Malaysia within the next 6 months.
You may ask, why have we chosen this route? Despite being the market for the last 2 years, why have you not witnessed a proliferation of our product? It is a consumer product so it must be on every shelf, right? WRONG!!!!
Yes we have attempted to have on as many retail shelves, and yes you may see our products at some Hypermarkets but sadly, our sales in these Hypermarkets have been dismally low. Are we the only ones facing it? Apparently not. In a meeting with the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Dato’ Ismail Sabri, it was revealed that only 6% of their products are from Malaysian SMEs. This is after the fact that the Ministry has made it a condition for foreign hypermarket to have 30% SME products as part of their license condition, from AS FAR BACK AS 2005. Here’s the fact - these hypermarkets do not care whatsoever about helping the local SMEs. They just want to bleed every sen offrom the Malaysian consumer and dump us their lousy house brand products. I bought spaghetti from Tesco and it was completely inedible! I hope somebody from Tesco is reading this!
So the Hypermarkets say our products do not have good packaging, quality and bla bla bla..if that is the case, why is BioSinar always sold out among our Dealers and Stockists? Why do we continue to be in existence till today? Why do the other SMEs continue to sell their products? I say if these foreign hypermarkets start to monkey around with Malaysia, GET OUT! WE DON’T NEED YOU! WE DON’T NEED YOUR HOUSEBRAND PRODUCTS! You come to Malaysia in the guise of promoting everyday low prices but you end up flooding our market with your unwanted products back in your home country! And in the process, YOU KILL THE VERY SOUL OF THE MALAYSIAN ENTREPRENEUR!
Do not for one second think that you will get away with it. And the Malaysians in cohort with them, watch out. We, the concerned Malaysian consumers and producers will act. Just you see..

We received an invitation from PEMADAM to exhibit alongside them in this week long Anti Drug Abuse Campaign at USIM. Apparently, PEMADAM is actively recruiting members and this time around they have gotten more than 200 students from USIM to sign up. Bravo and hats off to Kak Gee and Kak Liza for their noble charity work! We certainly need more volunteers like them who are committed to putting away this drug abuse menace for good.
