February 23 2008 is an important date for . For one, the company had one of its most successful roadshows for the year, as early as it may be. Beyond that, is slowly but surely beginning to court its way into the hearts and minds of some very important group of people, who could prove to be a strong alliance for the brand. The people that I’m talking about are volunteers from , (Persatuan Mencegah Dadah Malaysia, or Malaysian Society for the Prevention of Drug Abuse, www..org.my).p1020105.JPG

My first encounter with them was during last week’s show at the Nilai 3 Carnival, which unfortunately turned out to be a disaster for the participants. I shall not delve into what happened but suffice to say that there was a silver lining after all; had I not participated at Nilai 3, I would have not met the volunteers at all and the timing could not have been better. The turnout at our booth this time around more than made up for the disappointment that we had to endure last weekend, and I have Kak Jee, the Women’s Wing Chief of the Office to thank most. Kak Jee and Kak Siti - 2 stalwarts from PEMADAM SerembanShe had actually initiated the effort to bring our booth to under the auspices of , of which yours truly is a member.

Just take a look at the photos and the happy faces on it - everyone had a roaring time watching our product demos, buying and selling on this very hot and humid day! Here’s Kak Liza, our stud for the day, who had learnt to sell the product today, and who has actually outdone me selling ! p1020119.JPG

Here’s a photo of Faizah, a volunteer with , which promotes active lifestyles for teenagers as a way to prevent drug abuse. We actually cleaned the stain on her white shirt with in a matter of seconds, before her very own eyes and that of everyone else’s at the booth! Stain removed! Why, we even had our own perform that day! The crowd just loved him and they couldn’t stop taking photos with him! Here are some photos of Jamal …. p1020159.JPG

p1020169.JPGOne makcik couldn’t help but posed for a photo with Jamal on stage while he was singing! I’ll insert the video as soon as I figure how to do it :D. I guess it was pretty obvious there was a lot of jostling to pose for pictures with Jamal. He’s been around longer than a lot of singers nowadays and he continues to mesmerize audiences with his powerful vocals.

The Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan, Dato’ Seri Mohammad Hj Hassan was  there to officiate the event. Here’s a picture of him delivering his speech :

Overall we were extremely happy the event turned out the way it did. There were at least 700-800 people attending the show, most of whom were teenagers in different uniform groups brought specially for the event. Nevertheless, there was no lack of interest in and quite a number of these students actually forked out money to try the product! We hope that they would actually be accustomed to using and pass the word around.p1020146.JPG

My appreciation goes to the team, especially Kak Gee, Kak Siti and Kak Liza for your untiring efforts during the entire event. Let’s hope this is a start of a long alliance with , and may we all fight drug abuse by nipping it in the bud!
